2015

Dave was performing a set at the Black Cat in Washington, DC where Casey was singing backup for another performer. At the time, they were both dating other people, but Dave and Casey couldn’t forget each other.

Here’s a very blurry and cropped picture of the night they met when they stood onstage and sung together for the first time.

2018Dave finally moved to the west coast only a few weeks before Casey was about to move out of California and back to the east coast. On her cross country road trip, Dave reached out (aka slid into Casey’s DM’s) and they started talking every day. They decided to meet up in New Hampshire for their first “official” date… and it lasted for 2 weeks. Here’s their first picture after not seeing each other for 3 years…

2020Only a few months after moving into their own apartment in Larkspur, CA, the whole world shut down due to COVID 19. After sheltering in place for weeks, Dave, Casey, and Milo were finally able to visit their favorite California beach, Point Reyes. Casey thought it was her idea to go that day, but Dave had actually been planning this trip for a long time… After setting up their usual selfie video, Casey posed for a picture like normal, kicked some sand for Milo to chase, then turned around to see Dave on one knee. Here’s a picture of Dave asking Casey to marry him, Casey crying/saying yes, and Milo eating sand.

2021The little trio of C+D+M moved across the country (again!) from California to New Hampshire in the fall of 2020 and started living in and planning their wedding in their favorite place. Here’s a picture of the day they decided to get married on top of a mountain, overlooking the lake where they fell in love.

OCTOBER 27th, 2021

With the echos of Casey’s mom, Suzanne, saying over and over again, “Why don’t you two just get married already?!”, Casey and Dave did exactly that. In total surprise to Dave’s parents and Casey’s dad (who all thought they were just going out to a nice dinner), the only two who knew what was happening were their friend, Lexi, who was ready to take the photos, and Pat, the town clerk, who was ready to make it legal (oh, and Milo, of course…) Casey and Dave were simply tired of not being married to one another, so they decided to make it official at their “Little Wedding” and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone at the “Big Party” this summer.
